Built by Coaches Who Believe in You
Blacksburg Boxing & Fitness was founded in 2015 by Kevin and Augusta Bowen, both proud Virginia Tech alumni.
Kevin is a certified personal trainer through ISSA, a registered USA Boxing Coach and Athlete, and a former member of the Virginia Tech Boxing Club. His coaching background includes training at Baltimore Boxing and Fitness, where he learned directly from top amateur and professional boxers. Over the years, he has helped thousands of clients use boxing-style training to improve strength, lose weight, and build confidence.
Kevin’s approach is simple and intentional. Boxing should challenge you, not intimidate you. Every workout should have a purpose. Every member should feel supported from day one.
Together, Kevin and Augusta built a family-run gym that values coaching, consistency, and community. They’ve chosen to build their lives and raise their family right here in Blacksburg. The gym reflects that commitment: local, welcoming, and focused on long-term results, not quick fixes.
Blacksburg Boxing & Fitness isn’t just where they work. It’s what they believe in.
